Kristin Woods - Head Girls Lacrosse Coach

Coach Woods is looking forward to her 14th season at the helm of New Canaan High School with the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Program.  Her overall coaching record is 223 - 61 including the 2018, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012 & 2010 Connecticut State Championships. At the end of the 2018 season, Lacrosse Magazine ranked New Canaan High School Girls Lacrosse #15 in the country. The Connecticut High School Coaches Association honored her as the Outstanding Coach of the Year in 2018.  During her tenure, 25 players have earned All-American honors. An additional 13 players have earned Academic All-American honors. She has also coached 77 All-State and 103 All-FCIAC players. She was honored as the 2008, 2012, 2018 Connecticut Coach of the Year, as well as the 2009 & 2012 FCIAC Coach of the Year.

She has been affiliated with women’s lacrosse at every level, both as a player and coach, for the two past decade.  As a player at Penn State, she was a four-year letter winner and captain of the team during her senior year, ultimately being named to the Academic All-Big Ten team as a midfielder.  Following her collegiate playing days, she was asked to stay on at Penn State for an additional year as the Undergraduate Assistant Coach, helping to lead the Nittany Lions to an 10th place ranking in the country.  She has coached at the Penn State Elite Camp for nine years, as well as owning and operating Gold Coast Lacrosse Club Team.
