George Talboys - JV Boys Head Coach

Coach Talboys is entering his 50th year with lacrosse and 4th Season at NCHS.  He is a 1973 graduate of Herricks High School on Long Island.  Upon graduation, he played for Miami and Fort Lauderdale Lacrosse Clubs.  He earned MVP honors in 1975 during FLLC inaugural year.  He was named All-State in the Florida Lacrosse League in 1975.  He played his collegiate lacrosse at SUNY at Buffalo where he was a 3-year starter.  In 1980 he was an assistant coach for the inaugural season of Darien High School.  In 2002, he became an assistant coach with the Stamford/Westhill High School inaugural season.  In 2003, Coach Talboys founded and was Head Coach for Westhill High School.  He led Westhill for the next 14 years.  During his tenure, Westhill became the first lacrosse program in Stamford to make the CIAC tournament.  He also led the Vikings to their only FCIAC tournament appearance in 2009.  He was awarded the 2009 FCIAC Boys Lacrosse Coach of the Year.  Coach Talboys left Westhill at the end of the 2016 season.  He joined New Canaan High School as an assistant/JV coach for the 2016-17 season.   George is also a founder and a current director for the Stamford Lacrosse Association.  In this capacity, he taught coaches, led seminars, and coached teams in both elementary and high school leagues.  He is currently a 23-year veteran of the Stamford Public School System
