The 1992 team made its first ever appearance in the NCAA National Tournament, while the 1994 team scored its first NCAA tournament win and advanced to the quarter finals. In Scott’s senior year in 1995 the team again appeared in the NCAA tournament after winning its first ever ACC Tournament Championship against rival North Carolina.

Playing attack and facing off, Scott was a two time All American and was selected to the ACC All-Tournament team and First Team All-ACC in 1994 and 1995. Scott capped his career at Duke by playing in the North-South Senior All-Star game while also receiving prestigious Scholar All-American honors.
