John Harvey - Defensive Coordinator

John received his A.B. in History from the University of Virginia, where he was a four year member of the Varsity lacrosse team, winning the National Lacrosse Championship in 1999.

2025 was John’s first season with New Canaan High School. Prior to 2025, John was the defensive coordinator at Ridgefield High School in 2024. John currently lives in Darien with his family. He has coached various lacrosse teams throughout the Darien Youth Lacrosse Program and was a member of the Darien Lacrosse Board. John has also been a coach for Eclipse Lacrosse Club over the last decade. Prior to moving to CT, John worked for 10 years at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, TN as a teacher and Coach. In addition, Mr. Harvey founded Nashville Premier Lacrosse, a business which runs competitive lacrosse teams in Nashville, and No-Excuse Nashville, a business which runs lacrosse teams that compete in recruiting tournaments around the country. In 2013 he was named Tennessee Lacrosse Coach of the Year.
